Anonymity and online dating online dating and flaking
This is now far off from the OP's original thread idea and I'm not going to drift it further. If I took part in the topic on here and someone - who I talk to behind the forums scenes - would meet me over a glass of Guinness and the topic would pop up, of course I would not mind elaborating on it ... I know the thought: "Inquisitive mind would like to know."Whether or not someone is not a good person (name calling isn't neccessary) is not limited to one gender.
University of Minnesota Carlson School of Management professors Ravi Bapna and Akhmed Umyarov used unprecedented access to a massive online dating site’s user data to explore whether or not anonymous online browsing—a selling point for the dating site’s business model—had a meaningful impact on success in finding matches.Plentyoffish dating forums are a place to meet singles and get dating advice or share dating experiences etc.Hopefully you will all have fun meeting singles and try out this online dating thing... I have good instincts and if someone tried to come on too fast too soon (and it's happened) they don't (and didn't) make it to a second date. Most blow their cover before ever making it to coffee if they are after a roll in the hay.I do believe that we attract what we are - in love and in friends. No one has been deceived, I never said that or implied it.That's not your personal opinion and I respect that. Most of these men are brass enough to come right out and say what they're looking for. :)I'm on a general forum here in England and we were having a conversation about this..on the lines of when speaking one on one rather than to the forums.
